 Dr. Jonathan Penchas was born in Jerusalem, Israel.  His family has been in Israel for three generations and was originally from Berlin, Germany.  His parents reside in Tel-Aviv, Israel. 

Dr. Penchas’ education was obtained throughout the world.  He attended schools in London, Jerusalem, Boston, Louisiana, and Texas. He attended dental school at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel where he received his D.M.D. degree.  He graduated in the top 10% of his class and was awarded the Student Award for Excellence in restorative dentistry.

He completed his specialty in Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.  During the same time, Dr. Penchas earned his Masters degree in Education at The University of New Orleans.  In Houston, Texas he then completed a fellowship in Dental Oncology (cancer dentistry), and Maxillofacial Prosthetics at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  Dr. Penchas served as a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics at the University of Texas in 1995 through 1996.  He currently continues to teach part-time and is a WREB examiner.

Dr. Penchas published his first article in the Journal Of Dentistry For Children during his senior year in dental school.  He has since continued to publish articles and routinely participates in giving seminars to dentists, technicians, and the general public. 

Dr. Penchas’ hobbies include spending time with his family, traveling, ski, beekeeping and scuba diving.


 Dr. Marilyn Ward received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio dental school in 1984. She is the Director of Education at Discus Dental, Inc. Dr. Ward has published and presented nationally and internationally on porcelain restorations, bleaching, dental materials and lab communications.   Dr. Ward is currently the Global Director of Education for Discus Dental, headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

She is the former Director of Esthetics in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.  She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and has memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Association of Dental Research.

 


 Dr. Stephanie Scheyer is from Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota and came to Texas for her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin.  Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Scheyer practiced as a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Scheyer earned her dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.  She is a member of the Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Scheyer has one daughter, Ella Sophia and her husband, Todd, is a Periodontist in private practice, also in Houston.  Also, her father practices general dentistry in Minnesota.  Her hobbies include spending time with her family, water skiing, golf, tennis, gardening, downhill skiing and traveling.
